Statement about the Stranger Fan Meet 6

Good evening everyone,

First and foremost we wanted to take time to thank everyone who was part of the SFM6 last weekend. From our wonderful guests/ actors to our crew who worked very hard on this event but most importantly to the fans who we ultimately do this for and appreciate time and time again.
As you may or may not know this was a first of its kind event that’s ever been done worldwide, not just in France and we were very proud to be the firsts to propose this special edition.

With new and first of its kind event always comes some new and not so smooth challenges.
As always we pay close attention and appreciate the fans feed back, comments and concerns and always try our best to adjust and change for the future to make your experience better with each event.
To respond to some of those concerns we’d like to address the issues which were mentioned:

  • The wait at the registration
  • The delays to receive your prints
  • And safety

We would like to start by deeply apologize for the issues you have met during this edition.

Unfortunately the wait at the registration or at the extras was mostly due to some fans coming much earlier than we anticipated (some as early as more than 5 hours in advance ) which caused blockage to the entrances and leds to delays.

Regarding the prints, be assured each and everyone of you that have not got your pictures that we are doing our best for you to get it asap.
We were not able to assure an immediate print as we wished because the software crashed due to the high simultaneous quantities, printing several times the same pictures, and not some others. Something we will definitely fix and take care for all future events.

Lastly but most importantly: safety. As much as we appreciate your passion and enthusiasm to meet the guests, it can sometimes be overwhelming to everyone, including the guests, the staff and some other fans as well.
Not to mention that we have security and safety protocols that we must follow, which we did by doubling the security team, and even booked an additional new floor on the second day to create more space and avoid the blocking of the halls. It doesn’t change the fact that we MUST make sure all guests, fans and staff are secured, safe and good before we continue in our schedule. We take security and safely matters extremely serious and we couldn’t take any risk before proceeding the rest of the activities. Again something we are taking care of as we speak to make sure such delays will not occurs in the future anymore.

Like we previously said: this was a first of its kind event and these kind of issue unfortunately do happen, there are some things we couldn’t anticipate, nonetheless we were very pleased with the experiences we got during the event.
Actors were very happy and pleased about the event and some of them already spoke about attending to a future edition.
Actors that we welcomed always had a very good experience with us and that’s probably the reason why there are 6 editions already.
A 7th one was planned but if we keep it, it would be with a very new organization of the event, taking care of the issues we met on this first special edition.

And that you will receive an answer to your emails and demands as soon as possible. We, as always will be working hard to make sure all future events are better and much more fun. Your trust is something we hold at our highest regard and we are honored to continue working hard for you and for our guests.
