The Happy Ending Convention 5 announced in Paris on November 12
Hello everyone,
First of all, we’d like to thank you for your unfailing patience. We know it’s been a long wait, and we’d like to explain what’s been going on. As you know, when we announced this fifth edition of The Happy Ending Con, we wanted to close this chapter in the best possible way. In fact, we were planning to invite the only actress from the main cast who hadn’t had the opportunity to take part in one of our events. By the end of the previous edition, we’d discussed it with the agents, and everything was on a good way to happen. The first dates we had announced for this edition had been imposed on us, and it seemed too short for us, and for many of you as well. Then we had to change the date of the event several times, until Lana posted by mistake a story officially announcing a new change of date, but the annoucement of this long-awaited actress as well. At that point, the actress’ signature was imminent, but with the date change due to the shooting of one of the announced leads, we had to find a new date, together, that suited everyone.
We waited many weeks for an answer, and finally, after so much wait, the actress’s agent informed us that she no longer wants to make it work for the event. We were all, ourselves and the agents, stunned by the news. This sudden change forced us to rethink everything about the event. Conditions no longer allowed us to maintain the event as it was. We therefore reimagined the event with the actresses and their agent. We’ve considered canceling the event, but after all the wait and investment, it seemed unfair and sad to end The Happy Ending adventure this way.
So we’re delighted to announce that THEC5 will take place over one day on November 12th.The reconfirmed guests are Lana Parrilla, Rebecca Madder and Victoria Smurfit. No further guests are expected to join the guest list at this time. We had originally expected Merrin Dungey to be present, but unfortunately she turned down the date. Merrin was paid a deposit and due to changes of the date, she and her agent believe that the contract allows her to keep the deposit and to not attend. We disagree with this point, but this makes us unable to offer the optimal solutions we had planned.
As the event changes, if you already have your pass, please read carefully.
First of all, we’d like to thank those who still plan to attend.
